Sustainability in vertical living is no longer just a future goal. Many communities are already embracing practical innovations that reduce waste, lower emissions and strengthen shared environmental values.

Sustainability in vertical living is no longer just a future goal. Many communities are already embracing practical innovations that reduce waste, lower emissions and strengthen shared environmental values. One inspiring example is the Eco 5 pilot, a Sydney-based initiative delivered by Enrich 360, who is proudly owned and operated in Australia. It shows how small household actions can create meaningful change when adopted across a building.
If you or your community has a sustainability success story of its own, we would love to hear it. Sharing your experience helps inspire positive change across our wider strata network. Please contact us at customercare@bright-duggan.com.au.
Bright & Duggan is proud to spotlight Enrich 360 and the Eco 5 pilot. Read more below to learn more.
The Eco 5 program was designed to explore how food waste diversion could work in a high-rise environment. Using compact benchtop dehydrator technology, the pilot invited residents to rethink how they manage everyday waste and to see what could be achieved when a community works together.
The 12-week pilot was launched to see the effects of food waste diversion in vertical living using benchtop dehydrator technology. The pilot included 50 households from a high-rise community, made up of 26-65 year old owners and renters.
The results were impressive and show what is possible when innovation meets community effort.
These outcomes demonstrate that even small-scale changes can have a measurable impact on emissions, landfill reduction and community awareness. When adopted across more buildings, the benefits multiply quickly.
