A wide area could be affected, with warnings in place for areas including Gold Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Dalby, Kingaroy, Caboolture, Caloundra, Ipswich, Gatton, Cleveland, Cherbourg, Jimboomba and Kilcoy.
